Prof. Tan Lihua, in his more than 40 years of artistic career,Tan Lihua,  has conducted a large number of symphony works of different periods, different regions, and diverse styles, including the world premieres of more than 100 works by Chinese composers, Dvorak "Symphony No. 7", Symphonic Poem "The Pines of Rome" by Respicki, Prokofiev "The Fifth Symphony" etc.

As a well-known conductor at home and abroad, Prof. Tan Lihua had traveled to Russia, the United States, Britain, Germany, Czech Republic, France, Belgium, Italy, Canada, Switzerland, Israel, Spain, Australia, South Korea, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia , Venezuela, Panama and worked with ’ well-known orchestras, including the Russian National Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra , the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra and etc. 

He was appointed as the 6th, 7th and 8th Vice President and Director of the Performance Committee of the Chinese Musicians Association and the third, fourth and fifth President of Beijing Musicians Association.

He is Principal Guest Conductor of China Symphony Orchestra.
