Deputy Director/Principal Conductor , China Symphony Orchestra
Born in Hebei in 1971, Prof.Li Xincao's hometown is Baoshan, Yunnan. From 1983 to 1988, he studied at Yunnan Art School, majoring in flute. From 1988 to 1989, he was a flute player of the China Radio Symphony Orchestra. From 1989 to 1994, he studied in the Conducting Department of the Central Conservatory of Music, under Professor Xu Xin, a famous conductor and educator. At the end of 1993, he won the first place in the first National Conducting Competition.
Since 1994, he has been the permanent conductor of the Central Ballet. From 1996 to 1999, he studied at the Vienna State Conservatory of Music, under conductor Professor Leopold Hag. In 1997, he won the second place in the 45th Besançon International Conducting Competition in France. In the same year, as the assistant conductor of Haag, he visited China to perform with the Vienna State Opera.
Prof.Li Xincao is currently the assistant director and permanent conductor of the China Symphony Orchestra and the chief conductor of the Central Ballet.
He is also Professor/Master tutor of China Central Conservatory of Music,Director of Chinese Musicians Association
